Subhanallah!

This is the most unbelievable weather for the center of the US in December. All day yesterday was misty & overcast. Today it's shirtsleeve weather. Bright, sunny, brisk breezes, & very spring like. It gets me thinking about starting my tomatoes for next year.

Instead I took 3 of the kids to wally world for clothes. DD managed to find 2 dresses we could agree on. DS#1 found pants for school. DS#3 replaced some jeans he had taken the knees out of. I did have to go up a size for him. He had muffin top in 'his' size. We'll roll up the bottoms, insha Allah.

3 Advil morning

I knew yesterday I wasn't feeling at my best. I had this nagging between my shoulders & on my neck. I hoped it would go away overnight. Well I rolled over this morning & discovered a migraine. I took 3 Advil with my vitamins. As usual about 45min later I feel almost right again. I'm still having the occasional twinge, but I think my shopping plans can go ahead.

update: I took 2 of my kids shopping, DH took the other 2 to the office. We managed to get all the food we need for the next week. Insha Allah. I am feeling much better alhamdullilah!

DD learns a hard lesson

Last Friday I took the kids shoe shopping. At the first store I told DD to leave her purse hidden in the car. She stubbornly refused. I didn't want to push it so I let it go. DS#3 found shoes no problem, but #1 & #2 didn't see anything they liked. DS#1 wanted the same shoes he already had. The lady found them in another part of town that was really on my way as I was taking the boys to Baba's office later anyway. A quick stop at the library & we were on our way to the other shoe store. The boys both found shoes they liked & DD looked at some too, but she has gotten shoes recently & I wasn't buying her more. We all piled into the car DD last. As she got to the car she realized she didn't have her purse. Searched the store, no purse. Back to the library, then the 1st shoe store, nothing. Back to the second shoe store again, nothing.

It seems that someone at the second shoe store took advantage of DD's inattention. She lost her Nintendo & 3 games, as well as all her report card money. I was so mad at her for not listening, & at whoever took advantage of my 9yr old. We probably should have reported it, just to be counted in the statistics. I have no hope of seeing her things again even if we did.

Twitching

I'm working on  getting back into exercise as a regular part of my life. I  worked out on Monday & today using a Jackie Personal Trainer DVD. I used the 15 minute total body routine. When I finished both days I felt like I had worked out. I was energized &  even a little twitchy. It seemed like all my small muscles were twitching just a little. It made it just a little hard to sit still for anything. So I worked on active work until my muscles recovered a little.

Early Morning

I woke up with a kicker snuggled up to my back driving me to the edge. Should I get in the middle? Nah, I tucked him under the blanket & held him as he twitched & shivered in his dreams & neither of us slept well. I asked him later what woke him so early. On waking he heard water running in the bathroom. I think it inspired the bad dream that moved him to my bed.

I suppose I should enjoy it before he outgrows Mommy magic. Yawn. :)
